Prullans: a mountain plan near Bellver

The Cova d'Anes o Cueva de Anes is visited by all kinds of audiences. It is a cave in a calcareous wall of the Serrat d'Anes, which is located between the Prat de Codines torrent and the Feló torrent. If you are a lover of speleology, you should know that in this cave you will be able to take a route of low difficulty and suitable for the whole family, which will allow you to reach the end of its main gallery. 

Years ago, in an archaeological intervention in the Cova d'Anes, different materials from the Bronze Age (1500-1200 BC) were found. Among them, a flint blade, two hand mill flywheels, hammers and some ceramic pieces stand out.  

The most interesting thing is that you can get to this cave through a nice excursion which will also allow you to enjoy the path and the wonderful views of the valley.

To visit the Cova d'Anes while hiking, you can choose a circular itinerary of 12 km and medium difficulty. The slope of this route is 585 m and the total time varies between 4:30 and 5 hours. To make this excursion, you can leave Prullans and advance to the Feló stream. 

Once you have visited the cave, you can return to Prullans following the circular route, which this time will pass through the torrent de la Borda, La Bastida and Sant Quintí. 

If you prefer, you can also visit the Oren Dolmen. It is a Dolmen with a Pyrenean chamber and burial mound, an area in which human remains and tools were found. To get there, you must follow the road that crosses Prullans and take the Orèn intersection. You will have to follow the track and follow the yellow markings and signposts. This is also a circular route of low difficulty. It does not reach 12 km and has little unevenness.

Within the limits of the municipality of Prullans, the most important architectural element is the Church of Sant Esteve, a Romanesque construction built between the 11th and 12th centuries. It is a church with a single nave with an apse and a later added bell tower, probably from the 16th century. You will reach it easily, after a nice walk through the small and irregular streets of Prullans. 

Walking through Prullans and its surroundings, you will also come across Parets, the name given to some dry stone huts that the inhabitants of the town built in a rustic way as buildings for their agricultural work. All this, without forgetting that at the entrance of the town you will find the Viewpoint of La Cerdanya, an incredible stopping point that will allow you to enjoy spectacular views of the Serra del Cadí.
